King County Water District No. 90 replaced their existing 700 S.F. antiquated office building with a new 1,950 S.F. administration building. The project also included replacing their 1,600 S.F. shop/vehicle parking building with a new operations/shop/vehicle parking structure that has 2,400 S.F. of enclosed space. The site required minor grading by essentially retaining the existing topography. A new storm system was installed to handle the new impervious surface generating storm water. Landscape buffers were planted around the site’s perimeter to screen the site from the adjacent residential uses. Rain gardens are incorporated into the plan to also handle storm water per code requirements. All of these features were designed to fit into the surrounding residential neighborhood.
